November 16th, 2009 - Engine 50 Firefighters Receive Awards for River Rescue
On November 16th, 2009 the Bristol Borough Council recognized 6 Bristol Consolidated
Volunteer Fire Company firefighters for the rescue that was performed on the Delaware
River on September 20, 2009. After, Station 50 members enjoyed music, food and history in
the engine bays of the firehouse. Congratulations! The awards are listed as follow:

May 20th, 2009 - 132 Otter Street - Building Collapse
On May 20th, 2009, at 1651 hours Engine 50 was dispatched to 132 Otter Street, Box
52-15, for a building collapse. Engine 50 responded at 1656 hours with a crew of 5. Crews
found no one inside the building. All companies stood fast until utilities were secured. The
scene was turned over to L&I without any further incident.

At 0612 hours, Engine 50 was dispatched to 2500 East Farragut Avenue, the old O'Boyles
Ice Cream, for a building fire. Assistant 50 (Reeves) arrived first and reported that he had
smoke showing from a one story 50'x100' building. Assistant 50 established Bristol
Command and had all companied switched operations to fireground 2. Engine 50
responded at 0618 hours with a crew of 4, dropped in and placed a 2 1/2" attack line
in-service. Engine 501 responded several minutes later and stood by at a secondary water
supply. The fire was quickly extinguished.
August 6, 2010 - 2500 East Farragut Avenue - Building
October 20, 2010 - South Bound Route 13 - Vehicle Fire
At 2215 hours, Engine 50 was dispatched to South bound Route 13, local box 1450, for a
vehicle fire. Chief 50 (Riccio) arrived and found an engine compartment fire on a Chevy
Tahoe. Engine 50 responded at 2217 hours with a crew of 4, arrived first and extinguished
the fire. Station 50 had 11 personnel respond to the incident.

August 6, 2010 - 2500 East Farragut Avenue - Building
October 1, 2010 - 301 Radcliffe Street - 2 Alarm Dwelling Fire
At 2338 hours, Engine 50 was dispatched to 301 Radcliffe Street, tactical box 5115, for a
dwelling fire. Deputy 50 (Carosi) arrived first and reported "fire showing" side A. Deputy 50
established Bristol Command. Engine 50 / Lieutenant 501 (J. Kuzma) went responding at
2341 hours with a crew of 5 and arrived first on scene. Engine 50 established a water
supply and went in-service with a 2 1/2 attack line. Engine 52-1 arrived second and pulled a
1 3/4 attack line. Both crews experienced heavy fire on the second floor but were able to
extinguish the majority of the fire on the second floor. While trying to make the third floor,
crews were pulled from the building due to deteriorating conditions. Engine 501 / Lieutenant
50 (Pond) respond at 2343 hours and established a water supply to side C. A second alarm
was requested by Bristol Command due to the well advanced fire. Engine 50 was last to
leave at 0836 hours. Station 50 had 20 personnel respond.
